Improving your Smile May Not be as Difficult as you Thought

Your smile is a big tool in the business world. Previously, there wasn’t anything you could really do to fix your smile. Today things are different.

The kinds of cosmetic dentistry options that are available today vary based on your needs. Your options range from teeth whitening to bonding tooth colored filling material to porcelain veneers and caps and full crowns.

Prosthodontists can guide you in the best decision for you. One of the best ways to avoid a fake looking smile is to remember that nothing in nature is perfectly symmetrical. Subtle variations in the teeth and smile are important; perhaps rounding the corner of a tooth. Also, the shade of your smile is important, even though everyone wants that bright white one, it is important that you and your prosthodontist select a shade that is right for you.

Veneers are a popular cosmetic option for patients whose teeth that are in good condition, but  they want the color or shape improved, or would like to fill in the gaps in their natural teeth. For these patients, porcelain veneers are a great option because they are aesthetic and can enhance the teeth without having to remove much of the tooth structure. Veneers are also much more conservative than conventional caps or crowns. Prosthodontists have the skills and experience to use veneers to make a natural and aesthetic smile.
